Our hosts for most of our Repair Cafe events. The farm is open for visitors most days and features a cafe, the South Yorkshire Energy Centre and of course, lots and lots of animals.
Organisers of regular clothes swaps and various craft related events around the Sheffield area. Founder Jess is also one of our Repair Cafe team.
Repair Cafe regular Alan also runs his own service and repair business for braille writing machines. He is currently the only UK repairer of Perkins Braillers and specialises in fixing the older mechanical machines that are almost impossible to get repaired elsewhere
Sheffield Collector’s Club meet once every month and Kelham Island Industrial Museum and occasionally hold ‘vintage repair cafe’ events where you can get older items fixed. They specialize in repairing old steam toys (Mamod traction engines etc), telephones and hand-cranked vintage sewing machines.
